Torrontes is an Argentinean white grape that tastes rather like a dry Muscat. This wine is bright straw in colour with a bouquet of orange blossom, grapefruit and cardamom. It’s crisply dry, with orange and peach flavours and great length.
This is an interesting blend of Malbec (60%), Syrah (20%) and Bonarda (20%) with deep, rich aromas of plum, smoke, spice, tar, earth, black cherries and cassis. It is bold and substantive on the palate with black raspberry, cassis, cherry, tar, spice and leather notes.
From the folks who brought you Fuzion, a good-value Cab. Dense purple-black in colour with vanilla, sandalwood and blackcurrant nose; fruity and firm with flavours of plum, black cherries and currants; spicy clove and cinnamon finish.
Deep red, just tipping from plum to brick, indicates this is hitting its prime. Mostly Malbec, a wine for quiet contemplation as the nose evolves over hours: plum jam and cassis lead to nutmeg and liquorice, with an overlay of vanilla from judicious use of oak. Packed with red and blue berries and nicely balanced, this will plateau for a few more years.
This delicious blend of 73% Malbec, 15% Bonarda and 12% Syrah offers great value. A combination of plums, blueberries, raspberries, black pepper, flowers, chocolate and espresso are layered on a plush yet smooth frame. Lengthy aftertaste. Drink now, or over the next three years, with grilled rib eye.
A subtle nose of soft berries, pepper, plums and light oak. It picks up on the palate with cherry, blackberry and spice in a balanced approach. Serve with roast beef, BBQ ribs, and roasted vegetables.
Medium straw colour with a buttered popcorn nose; medium-bodied, spicy oak and pineapple flavours with lively acidity; deftly oaked with a mouth-freshening finish.
