3 Inspiring Brunch Ideas for Winter

Comfy Brunch

Looking for a casual, little-prep required style brunch? Keep it casual by setting the table with a simple table runner, white plates and your everyday flatware. For your centerpiece, cut branches or pick up fallen branches from the ground. The bare wood will be a nice counterpoint to the warmth inside.

Add the comfort factor by throwing faux fur cushions on your dining room chairs, adding a warm blanket or shawl and encouraging guests to wear comfortable clothes and bring slippers. Serve hot beverages – hot chocolate, coffee, tea, hot cocktails – in mason jars. For cold beverages, think sparkling cider.

Make your dishes ahead of time and warm them up in the oven. Some great comfort-themed brunch foods include the classics: French toast, pancakes, ham, bacon, eggs. Other options, if you want to get a bit more fancy: The Carriage House Breakfast Pie, Tangy Brunch Sausage and Sweet Potato and Ham Hash.
