This little-known grape from Argentina produces a wine that is purple-black in colour with a spicy, vanilla and black-cherry nose. Medium-bodied and dry with good presence in the mouth, it has black plum and cherry flavours ending on a cedary note. The good news is that at $14.95 it punches way above its weight. A red-meat wine if ever there was one.
