From a serious year in Bordeaux, the complex blend of varietals produces complex aromas. Opaquely deep, with a hue just on the young side of garnet. Rich port-like nose of black cherry, seasoned with a tinge of absinthe. On the palate there are black cherry, prune nectar and chocolate, woody flavours with soft tannins and a long finish. Will coast for a while, but at its best now.
