The High Mountain Vines tips us off to the freshness to be found here, which works to carry the sunned red fruits and leathered mid along a lengthy palate. Sourced from 4 vineyards ranging from 920-1,450 m and across various soil types, this carries cherries, wild raspberries, dark cocoa dusted tannins along a stream of acidity to a satisfyingly lingering, smoky finish. This vintage has really opened up, though still benefits from a decant.
