5 Tips for Picking the Perfect Suit

By / Life / July 13th, 2017 / 1

Tip #2 – The Material & Design

The best material for a suit is wool or a wool-silk blend. This will be comfortable in any weather. Pick a double breasted jack and notched lapel for a snazzier, classic look.

Always get your suit tailored. The loose arms and baggy pants of the past create a sloppy look that definitely won’t project the image you want. Jacket sleeves should end 1/2 inch above your shirt cuffs and your pants should be hemmed to sit at the top of your shoe’s tongue.

Finally, check the shoulder seams – they should end at the end of your shoulder bone. And toss the shoulder pads. Really.
