Sirene Artisan Chocolate Makers

Victoria, BC

Founded by Toronto-born Taylor Kenney, Sirene Artisan Chocolate Makers is an award-winning chocolate bar company that hand crafts small batches of chocolate bars and sells them online and in stores across the world. Each of their bars starts with cacao beans sourced directly from the farmers in Africa and Central America; the beans are transformed into chocolate bars that express the complex natural flavour of the source.

Sirene Artisan Chocolate bars have received recognition at several prestigious competitions. The Dark Milk bar, dark chocolate with milk added only for the creamier texture, received first prize at the NW Chocolate Festival in Seattle in 2015; the Madagascar-bean version of this bar won silver and the Guatemalan bar was a bronze winner at the 2016 Academy of Chocolate Awards. The Tazania/Ecuador chocolate bar (a pack of two bars: both 73% chocolate from their respective beans) is a popular product; the Ecuador bar is made from Costa Esmeraldas beans and won bronze at the the 2016 Academy of Chocolate Awards. Their Cacao Verapaz, Guatemala bar received silver at the International Chocolate Awards 2015 in the Americas category.

Dark chocolate lovers should try their 100% bars; these are pure bean chocolate with no sugar or flavouring added. Just the beans.

Buying Sirene Artisan Chocolate bars is one way you can support direct trade, all while enjoying the rich, dark chocolate flavours you love.
