3 Inspiring Brunch Ideas for Winter

Beach Brunch

Give your guests an escape from the cold with a beach themed brunch. Keep things light and fresh, using light pinks, warm cream, pastel greens, beach brown and other summery colours in your decor. If you have access to clean sand and sea shells, putting these three clear jars of varying heights make a great centre piece; if you have an easy to clean mat for the centre, you could even spill a bit of sand and scatter sea shells around the jars.

Bamboo or faux wood placemats with white dishes and theme-coloured cloth napkins are perfect for your place settings. Add fun drink umbrellas to each glass or setting to pull the theme together.

For the menu, you can go the seafood route, loading your table with lobster, crab and shrimp. For example, you could serve Garlic Shrimp and Deviled Crab. Or you can think “day at the beach” fare – wraps, skewers, whole fruit, pasta salad, charcuterie and cookies.

Quenching the thirst is fairly simple – a nice white wine or some fun, fruity cocktail smoothies embody the beach essence. Tea, coffee and even virgin Pina Coladas are right up the beach brunch alley.
