Clear, deep brass. The aromas are not bold, but distinctly Sauternes-like, with caramel and spice. Viscous, grapey with apricot and rose-petal flavours, and thankfully the sweetness does not overpower as the finish lingers and lingers. This is a rare and memorable experience. Savour on its own, or with pears poached in white wine with cardamom and saffron and a drizzle of caramel.
