A bit of a shock at first, with generous use of oak not typical of Chablis, but wow, what a nose: honeysuckle, matchstick, lanolin, concentrated orchard fruits, sea shells and smoky minerality. It is complex, concentrated and mineral-laden on the palate with baked apple, poached pear and a touch of citrus and electric acidity for balance. Such graceful power and length through the finish.
