Star Wars x Le Creuset Droid Minis

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the popular French cookware brand Le Creuset collaborated with Lucas Films to create a range of kitchen equipment that Star Wars fans will love using. Released November 1st, this collection celebrates the upcoming installment in the Star Wars franchise – The Rise of Skywalker, which hits theatres in December.

Available for a limited time, in limited quantities, the collection has already sold out on the Le Creuset website. However, if you use The Force and apply some Han Solo style cleverness, you can find these products in stores across Canada. (For example, William Sonoma lists the set on their website.)

The collection includes Han Solo Carbonite Signature Roaster, Darth Vader Round French Oven, Global Droid Set – three mini cocottes in the likeness of R2-D2, C-3P) and BB-8 – Death Star Trivet and a Millennium Falcon Trivet. Some earlier reviews of the collection also mentioned a Porg pie bird. A pie bird allows steam to escape the pie while it bakes… this one looks like Porg, the adorable species first featured in The Last Jedi.

There is one special piece in the collection worth highlighting: the hand-painted, Tatooine-inspired Dutch oven. A very limited edition, only nine exist. The pink and blue scene evokes the desert landscape and binary sunset. A metallic gold handle finishes the look.

Like all Le Creuset products, the Star Wars collection is made to last. Like the series itself, the cookware will stand the test of time.

Master your destiny, young padawans.
And may the Force be with you.
