From Kekfrankos grapes, known as Blaufränkish in Austria. Clear, very pale Grenadine red. Fairly intense nose, reminiscent of Pinot Noir but tilting to raspberry cordial. Light-bodied with high acidity and thin flavours of just-ripe berries: cranberry and raspberry. I enjoyed this with a cheese pizza with fresh rosemary. After all, what do you expect for 11 bucks?
