Intense dark colour suggests power and depth to come. Subtle, well-calibrated fine fruit, spice and a whiff of oak on the nose yield to concentrated dark fruit with discernible blackcurrant. Firm tannic bite and still-youthful acidity. Plenty of weight and character here, but will benefit from another 3–5 years in the cellar.
