Pink champagne doesn’t come cheap but an affordable substitute is Crémant d’Alsace Rosé. Fleshy pink in colour, this bubbly has a nose of cherries and citrus fruits with a light floral aroma. Medium-bodied and dry, the flavour is of red apples and cherry pits. Chill it lightly and serve as an aperitif or with roasted chestnuts.
