Fewer than 25 cases were made of this aromatic white. It is very pale in the glass revealing scents of green fruit with floral and subtle herbal overtones. Attractively soft, honeyed tree fruit flavours suggest ripe pear and apricot. Residual sweetness is throttled back by crisp acidity and gritty mineral. Fresh light character and low alcohol make it a fine aperitif.
Bright and luscious with floral aromas, concentrated flavours of quince, peach and melon accented by rich, spicy notes and great balance.
Côteaux Bourguignons is a regional wine appellation in France, covering the entire Burgundy region from the area around Auxerre down to Beaujolais. From this region Bouchard Père & Fils make this blend of Chardonnay and Aligoté. Pale yellow in colour, it shows a spicy, apple nose; it’s medium-bodied, dry and crisp with crabapple and green pear flavours and a lemony finish. A great introduction to white Burgundy.
