Made in collaboration with Horton Ridge Malt & Grain Company of Hortonville, Nova Scotia, this is a slightly unorthodox Hefeweizen. It is, however, typically hazy in the glass with a soft, persistent creamy head. Aromatic lemon citrus, floral and hoppy herbal scents lead into mild citrusy flavours with lightly yeasty and creamy texture, finishing with a stiff jolt of hoppy bitterness.
Medium-deep gold with lots of sparkle. Medium-intensity nose of ripe apple, toast and yeast. On the palate this is light, crisp and dry, with flavours of more apples and lemon leading to a long bitter almond and brandy finish. Drink any time.
If big, bold red wines are your bag, this is your wine. Deep purple in colour, it has a rich nose of blackberries and cedar with a note of iodine. Medium to full-bodied, you get concentrated flavours of sweet blackberry and plum with a chocolate note. An ideal BBQ wine, especially for pepper steak.
Ripe plum with a whiff of spice and characteristic green herbal and earthy overtones on the nose. Lightly sweet ripe plum and bitter cherry flavours are backed by chewy tannins with balanced acidity and a splash of dark chocolate.
Good vintage. Good value. Straw-coloured with a nose of apple and vanilla oak; medium-bodied, dry, apple flavour with well-integrated oak. A versatile food wine.
An explosion of mango and spicy florals erupts on the nose, priming the palate for a judiciously hoppy sip of pineapple and spicy bitterness with a nearly imperceptible malt backbone. This session ale is laser-focused on its bright, Galaxy and El Dorado hop profile with a dry, lightly bitter finish and a soft, delicately bubbly body.
A strapping Beaujolais that can age. Dense purple colour with a floral, spicy black cherry and cherry pit nose. Richly textured and firmly structured. Not the Beaujolais you’re used to.
