This Reserva from a good vintage shows good depth of fruit interwoven with fine spice and cedary pencil box. Blackcurrant, blackberry and firm tannic grip hold sway on the palate, finishing very dry. Will continue to develop over the next 3-5 years and more.
Golden in colour with aromas of honeysuckle and marzipan with hints of banana, flowers and a rich nuttiness. The palate is rich and honeyed with spice, salt, vanilla and notes of toasted oak.
This is the second vintage of this Ontario staple, Cabernet Franc. 2015 delivered a style with more depth of flavour showcasing raspberry, cherry, violets and light spice notes. On the palate it’s a red fruit bomb with dried herbs, savoury spice and freshness through the finish.
The nose shows a certain elegance with light spice, grapefruit, kiwi fruit, pear, white flowers and toasty vanilla. It’s bright and juicy on the palate with lovely texture to go with citrus, kiwi, herbs, toasted almonds and integrated spice notes.
Made from 15-year-old vines, this Riesling displays moderate aromas of lime, lemon, green apple and wet stone. The bright acid, slight sweetness and linear palate make for a fine partner with sautéed scallops or lighter cheeses.
The “Grand Cru” of the Clos Jordanne portfolio is a full-bodied and layered offering with waves of peach, pear, apple, citrus, honey, hazelnut, toast and spice. The palate is dense, yet refined, with an underlying current of minerality as well as fresh acidity. Ready to drink. A triple-cream brie or roast chicken stuffed with mushrooms would be sublime with this wine.
Very dark colour. Deep but discreet nose of pastry cream and subdued red and black fruits, typical of a very young promising wine. Silky on the outside; you can feel the power within it, the concentrated core coats the mouth leading to a very tight finish that reveals the fine grainy tannins. Hold 10 years and enjoy over the following 10-15 years.
