Clear pale garnet. Reserved nose of good Pinot Noir typicity, raspberries and violets. Appealing raspberry fruit with prominent acidity accented by spice from oak maturation. Drink up.
This classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier spent 3 years on the lees. Partridge-eye in colour, the wine offers elegant fruity scents and a whiff of brioche. Charming and softly rounded on the palate with delicate fruit, creamy texture and fine mousse, finishing with a light touch of mineral and balancing acidity.
Light straw in colour with an earthy, undergrowth nose of apples; medium to full-bodied, sweet apple flavour, round and full in the mouth but lacking energy to give the wine length.
A singular blend of Merlot and Petit Verdot, which is easy-drinking and chock full of blackberry, plum, cherry, anise flavours. Medium length. Sausage and peppers or hamburgers are solid pairings.
Graham Rennie shows he can go from his full-blown, in-your-face style of red wine to this elegant Pinot Noir. The nose displays fragrant cherry, raspberry, violets and spicy nutmeg and cinnamon with just a touch of earth. It’s perfectly spiced on the palate with beetroot, savoury cherry, strawberry and a touch of liquorice that travels on a silky bed of medium tannins.
A rich, Merlot-driven Grand Cru from a great vintage. Dense purple in colour with a cedary nose of blueberries and vanilla oak and a grace note of rose petals. Full-bodied, dry, richly extracted plum and blueberry flavours that fill the palate. Hold 3 to 5 years.
The newest release of the estate’s flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend yields vibrant red and black fruit with earthy hints that precedes a touch of astringency, underpinned by approachable tannins with a definite savoury edge and schist undertones, good acidity and a firm finish. This wine benefits from extra time in the glass, or hold for a few years.
