Very pale. Classic citrusy nose with floral notes, hints of chalk. Firm acidity in the fully dry palate, reserved fruity taste. Finish is on minerally notes. An honest glass of French Riesling to be enjoyed soon.
A classic Bordeaux blend of 40% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon and 20% Muscadelle, this is a lively, aromatic wine showing floral and slightly wild green herbal character with typical grassy green fruit freshness. It is not as exuberant on the palate but nicely balanced with a smooth agreeable finish. Pair with shellfish, especially oysters on the half shell.
Elegant and nicely restrained with spice, cherry, black pepper and plum flavours, mineral and fresh with round, supple tannins. Great with everything from salmon to barbecue to slightly spicy meat dishes.
A refreshing departure from some sweeter styles, produced from the original vines on the property, this Bacchus offers up aromas of nettle and honey notes before a crisp but smooth palate with intense stone fruit underpinned by mineral hints before a firm, dry finish. The perfect match for fresh oysters on the half shell.
A blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby colour with a nose of cedar, red berry and vanilla oak; soft mouthfeel, dark chocolate, black fruit flavours with a spicy note; firm finish.
Perhaps the best, most complex and interesting Gamay being made in Niagara. This is wow wine, even though Gamay purists will scoff at the fact that 20‒30% of the fruit is aged in tight-grain French oak. But it works here beautifully. The expressive nose shows a range of plums, cassis and black cherry with toasted oak and spice notes. It’s juicy and spicy on the palate with hedonistic dark and red fruits and wood spice undertones. This is wow wine, and there is no reason you can’t cellar this for a bit.
Co-fermented with 6% Viognier and aged 18 months in American and French oak (60% new). Floral and cedar scents bolt from the glass. Loads of black fruits, leather, chocolate and white-pepper flavour. Plush tannins. Finishes with violets, spice and smoky oak. Suited for full-on BBQ treatment.
