This wine delivers above its pay grade. Blackberry, plum, cherry, spice, chocolate and mint are layered on a concentrated mid-palate. It is rich, smooth and finishes with excellent fruit. Ready to drink.
Elegant and fresh with gentle silky tannins and complex palate with aromas of truffle, fresh strawberries and cherries with pleasant mineral notes on the finish. The 12.5% ABV is an added bonus and makes it dangerously easy to drink. Serve slightly chilled.
A beautifully poised red Burgundy — ruby-coloured with a bouquet of raspberries, minerals and a light floral note; dry, lean and elegant and firmly structured.
Blend of three native varieties shows great charm, offering soft floral and lightly scented red-berry character with gentle spritz and refreshingly light, fruity finish. Ideal as an aperitif.
Savoury aromas punctuated by dried herbs and prune. The rich mouthfeel unveils loads of dark berry action and mocha, culminating with earthy spice and a dusting of chocolate. Well-structured yet balanced, so will pair well with sauce-dressed meats.
I never expected to find Sicily’s premiere red grape growing in South Africa, but there you go. Deep purple-ruby in colour, this gorgeous red has a spicy nose of black plums and new leather with a lavender note. Medium-bodied and dry, it’s fleshy but elegant and well-balanced with a caressing mouth-feel. Amazing value here.
Possibly the most expensive bottle-to-juice ratio I’ve seen, this Sicilian Pinot Grigio bottle is adorned with a ceramic embossed heart, inscribed with words of amore. The patented ceramic is unique to Etiké, and this Pinot Grigio is one intended solely for the export market. Fresh hay, banana, yellow apple, pear, pine nuts and green melon in this fresh, light wine. A slick of lees veils the palate, and the finish is short and crisp. Easy pour with broth shellfish.
