A well-priced wine for Pinot Grigio fans. Pale straw in colour with a minerally, peach-pit nose; medium-bodied, dry, with flavours of white peach and lemony acidity.
Light ruby. Classic, enticing Pinot Noir nose of small red fruits, cinnamon and hints of earth. Well-dosed oak. A bit acidic in the mouth, there is good fruit in the middle palate of medium to light body. Give it 3 to 4 years to lose a bit of its acidity.
Originally planted in 1972, this vineyard-specific Pinot — affected by both coastal fog and the warm Santa Ana wind — unfurls earthy, cinnamon and red fruit aromas. Rather plush on the palate, with sweet baking spices and even roasted meat flavours. The warm viscous finish lingers. Pair with pan-seared tuna.
Shows Valpolicella varietal nose but with depth, intensity and complex spiciness. Thickly textured on the palate, with rich, dark bitter-cherry flavours, solid structure and lively acidity, it offers the qualities of good Valpolicella but with the structure to permit long aging.
Light blond in colour and opens with a bitter nutty aroma and flavours nicely balanced between light fruitiness and savoury malt. Texture is pleasantly creamy with mild hoppy bitterness on the finish. Easy-drinking summer brew.
There is a slight overripe quality to the dark fruits: cherries, blackberries and plums. Violets, vanilla, cocoa, raisins and wasabi add complexity. There is good depth, with a sweet mid-palate and excellent length. The tannins will ensure another 5 to 7 years of longevity.
Ruby purplish. Spices and red berries (raspberry, blackberry) with discreet oak notes fill the glass. Medium-bodied, balanced in every way, it drinks well with its fruity taste and soft, ripe tannins. Ready to drink, it can hold 2 to 3 more years.
