The Loire Valley is the true home of the Chenin grape, and with it they make every possible wine style, from dry to very sweet, even sparkling. This 20-year-old “sticky” shows a dark golden colour, a complex nose of flintstone, dried herbs, smoke and discreet fruity notes. The mouthfeel is very open, fresh and intense; sugar is not overwhelming at all, it merely amplifies the flavours and contributes to a great balance. A real treat with foie gras canapés.
