Rossese di Dolceacqua is another of Italy’s native grape varieties that more wine lovers need to discover. The resulting wine has the ability to take on the characteristics of the specific vineyard site in which the grapes are grown, but similarities can be drawn to both Gamay and cool climate Syrah. Brae is a cru located at an elevation of 480 metres and is delicate and floral with bright, crunchy red fruit and supple nimble tannins. Fresh and minerally with a hint of pepper. Best served slightly chilled and a great match with Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine.
