From one of the elder statesmen of Beaujolais, this Beaujolais Blanc is a rare example of Chardonnay from the limestone soils (Terres Dorées = golden soils) of Beaujolais. Gamay accounts for 99% of the grapes grown in Beaujolais, so this is a rare treat and a fantastic value for white Bourgogne. Mineral-rich, with a creamy, green apple, and lees-led core, this echoes with light flint and lingers with fine, strong acid, a hallmark of the limestone soils. A hidden gem, prized by those in the know.
