Opaque and very dark. Burnt wood, jammy black berries on the nose could mean a flabby wine on the palate but it retains enough freshness to be balanced. Velvety on the outside and very firm at its core, its tannic backbone is firm and tight, becoming dry and a bit rough around the edges in the finish. Better to wait another 5 years or so.
