Gopher Hole Museum

Starting close to home in our own backyard, we’ve got stuffed gophers galore. This taxidermy-based museum opened in 1996. Each of the furry stuffed subjects are dressed up to resemble townspeople and staged in little dioramas. Walking through is sure to be filled with awws, chuckles and perhaps the occasional groan.

Gopher Hole Museum is open June through September; winter visits can be arranged by calling the “gophers” who manage the museum’s website.
