Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Very deep plum red. Robust nose of cassis and black cherry. Medium body, tasting of tart sour cherries and blackberry, with some tough tannins. Drink to 2021 to let the tannins mellow.
Medium-deep yellow. Medium intensity nose of oak, lemon and gooseberry. Tastes of apple, lemon and other citrus flavours, all having spent time in a sawmill. Drink up.
Deep garnet. Medium nose of black cherry with milk chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied with a soft mouthfeel despite tangy acidity. Young and fruity cherry flavours, easy to quaff for a hearty red wine. Drink now.
Syrah 73%, 16% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot. Deep purple-ruby colour. Cedary, spicy, plum bouquet with evident oak. Medium-bodied, dry, savoury-herbal, sweet blackberry flavour with lively acidity.
A wine that is both bold and fresh showing black and red fruit, spice, slightly toasty, well-integrated tannins. Good complexity and length with a pleasant lifted quality on the finish. A blend of Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvedre and Viognier.
An extremely appealing pure nose with a mix of fresh crushed raspberries and strawberries. Equally charming on the palate with soft tannins, a silky texture and fresh acid. Light on its feet and dangerously easy to drink if slightly chilled. Fantastic value and, I would say, barbecued pork’s best friend. Would also accompany Dim Sum well.
Fresh with good fruit and a creamy texture, subtle and balanced with a clean finish. The wine opened up with food and particularly did well with white fish and poultry dishes.
