Clear medium-deep yellow. Fairly powerful nose of gooseberry and passionfruit. Full-bodied, almost viscous. Almost sweet from packed grapefruit, papaya and more passionfruit. Drink up.
One of Costco’s house label wines. Clear pale silvery-yellow. Medium intensity nose of guava, gooseberry, lemon and rich mown grass. Light- to medium-bodied, with the essential New Zealand gooseberry and grapefruit flavours, but the attraction here is the bright, lemony acidity, with a bit of citrus oil bitterness on the finish. Refreshing and moreish. Value. Drink up.
Medium ruby colour with a lightly cedary, spicy, plum nose. It is medium-bodied, dry with flavours of ripe cherry and plum. A nicely balanced, easy drinking wine that works well with duck, lamb or veal.
Bright, pale straw colour with a passion fruit and citrus bouquet and notes of sweet grass; medium-bodied, crisply dry with green plum and gooseberry flavours; beautifully balanced and great length.
Bright straw in colour with a grassy, lightly floral nose of green plum and gooseberry; medium-bodied, crisply dry, green plum flavour with mouth-freshening acidity.
Opens with classic Pinot varietal spicy red cherry on the nose, shifting towards more concentrated black cherry character in the mouth. Supported by lightly firm velvety tannins, it finishes with a splash of dark chocolate.
Elegant, softly perfumed ripe pear and stone fruit on the nose lead the way for equally refined fruit themes playing through on the creamy, smoothly rounded palate. A wine of great charm, finishing with a pinch of spice and a light, refreshing touch of mineral.
