This organically grown Sauvignon Blanc from Chile is light straw in colour with a bouquet of kiwi and citrus fruits. It's medium-bodied and dry with a lovely mouthfeel and a lively spine of acidity that gives it good length in the mouth.
Clear, medium-deep plum-red. Faint nose, herbal and spicy from oak aging. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity over cherry fruit. Will improve with another year or two.
A house wine in the making! Deep ruby colour with a cedary-herbal nose of black fruits; medium-bodied, dry and savoury, with toasted herbs and blackberry flavours carried on a spine of lively acidity. Good value.
70% Cabernet Sauvignon with Shiraz and Cabernet Franc in the blend. Deep ruby-purple colour with a nose of blackcurrants and a spicy vanilla note from the oak. Medium- to full-bodied with cedar-tinged cassis and plum flavours carried on lively acidity.
Clear medium-deep ruby. Attractive, medium-intensity nose of plums, liquorice and violets, and some stemmy notes from the Cab Franc. A simple, tasty wine, full-bodied and packed with fruit, especially cherries. Tannins still rough; can take a few more years.
Structured, layered and multi-dimensional with excellent focus and length, dark plum, mineral, blackcurrant and blackberry flavours; intense and persistent on the long, well-framed finish. Cries for grilled meat.
Dip your nose into a glass of this Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah blend grown in volcanic soils, and you will notice how much more expressive aromatics you smell than wines produced with the same variety grown in different soils. Not only do the ancient volcanic deposits produce more perfumed wines, but they also provide better drainage for the vines, resulting in a complex and unique wine. Plants grown in volcanic terroirs are just happier! The intense eruption of flavours will have your taste buds doing the happy dance! Fragrant and appealing aromas of blackberries, ripe plums and grilled meats, layered with hints of savoury herbs, eucalyptus and spice. Ripe dark fruit flavours and smoky undertones are shaped by vibrant, fresh acidity. A touch of minty herbs and cedar lingers in the finish. This wine delivers exceptional value and tastes like something around the $20+ mark. Dare I say this is the best-value red on the shelves today? Stock up!
