A very interesting blend. Pale straw in colour with an aromatic, honeysuckle, peach and apple nose heightened by a grassy note from the Sauvignon; medium-bodied and dry. A versatile food wine and good value.
William Fèvre is one of the pre-eminent producers of Chablis in Burgundy. The company also owns a winery in Chile. This is Chablis on steroids. Pale straw in colour with a lemony, toasty nose, it’s dry, medium-bodied, fresh and lively on the palate with a crisp apple flavour and a lovely mouthfeel.
Chilean Sauvignon Blanc that tastes like Sancerre from the Loire Valley: now that’s something to get excited about, especially since the price is Chilean rather than French. This one has a nose of green plums and nettles; it’s dry, fresh and lively on the palate with flavours of gooseberry and grapefruit and a long, lingering finish.
From Chile's Central Valley. This organically grown Cabernet is dense purple in colour with that characteristic nose of blackcurrant and cedar — flavours that are replicated on the palate backed by vanilla oak. Good value.
Clear, medium-deep plum red. Nose of blackberry and green bell pepper, overlaid with leather and black liquorice. A straightforward, fruity wine tasting of red currants and strawberries, with good acidity and soft tannins. Drink over the next year.
Ripe citrus, yellow pear with light tropical fruit and spicy notes on the nose and generous lemon citrus and tropical fruit with a suggestion of mango in the mouth. Finishes with refreshingly crisp acidity and lightly buttery, toasty notes.
Typical Chilean Cabernet aromatic profile offers piquant blackcurrant and fresh green herb with background ripe blackberry. Sweet ripe blackberry leads on the palate, with rounded tannins, clean, well-balanced acidity and a splash of dark chocolate.
