Jenner Cormier is an award-winning mixologist who can usually be found stirring and shaking at The Middle Spoon and Noble, both in Nova Scotia. He competes in international competitions and currently holds the title of the Diageo World-Class Canada Bartender of the Year, 2013.

What’s your favourite cocktail ingredient?

Ice and bitters have become my favorite cocktail ingredients. There is so much to be said about the way in which we use ice and bitters to transform cocktails into something unique. Depending on the type and actual way in which we use them, there will be profound differences in the resulting cocktail.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

On a remote island in the South Pacific.

What’s your idea of happiness?

Good sense of humour, kind, selfless, hard worker.

What’s your best virtue?

Being surrounded by the people I love.

Who’s your favourite fictional hero?

Probably Batman.
