Gold Medal Winning Wines

By / Magazine / October 24th, 2011 / 1

Although we haven’t even celebrated Hallowe’en yet, I can’t help thinking that party season will be upon us all very soon. Christmas and New Year’s parties often start in November. The fact of so many get-togethers presents a great opportunity to try new wines. Right on time, the 2011 Intervin International Wine Awards held this year at the White Oaks Resort and Spa has released its list of winning wines. No doubt you’ll see some you haven’t yet tried. Pick up a bottle and try it out. See if you agree with the judges choices.

The judging panel was made up of writers and sommeliers. Having to choose a handful of winners from a pool of nearly 1,100 wines, they certainly had their work cut out for them. When the dust finally settled, wines from 15 countries encompassing a variety of styles came out on top. All of the wines listed here were awarded a Gold Medal.
