For his more than forty years of service as a writer, contributor, and consultant to the industry, Vancouver freelancer and regular Tidings contributor Duncan Holmes has been inducted into the British Columbia Restaurant Hall of Fame with a Special Lifetime Achievement Award. The award to Duncan, and eleven other inductees in other categories will be presented March 30 in a gala dinner at the new Trade and Convention Centre on Vancouver’s waterfront. A print journalist in earlier times, Duncan joined Keg Restaurants in 1973 as Vice-President Communications and has been writing about food and serving the industry ever since.
