So, in the last couple of blogs, I’ve given you a list of the top ten winter destinations, airport travel tips and now, I’m giving you the last suggestion for exciting travel this winter season. Oh sure, you can stay and celebrate all the many reasons there are to celebrate with family and friends. Or, you can load everyone (or just one or two of them) into a car and head out on a road trip. I know, the idea of a road trip through snow and ice and kids in the backseat asking to use the bathroom fifteen minutes after you’ve left home doesn’t exactly bring thoughts of comfort and joy to mind. But, if you and your loved one, or whole family, are up to it, road trips are fabulous way to explore the environment and see places you might not otherwise. The best part is planning a route full of detours to local attractions.
