Road Trip

So, in the last couple of blogs, I’ve given you a list of the top ten winter destinations, airport travel tips and now, I’m giving you the last suggestion for exciting travel this winter season. Oh sure, you can stay and celebrate all the many reasons there are to celebrate with family and friends. Or, you can load everyone (or just one or two of them) into a car and head out on a road trip. I know, the idea of a road trip through snow and ice and kids in the backseat asking to use the bathroom fifteen minutes after you’ve left home doesn’t exactly bring thoughts of comfort and joy to mind. But, if you and your loved one, or whole family, are up to it, road trips are fabulous way to explore the environment and see places you might not otherwise. The best part is planning a route full of detours to local attractions.

Most hotels across Canada, the US and Mexico are offering great deals of up to 30% off their regular price throughout the winter season. Consider a mini vacation in some of these locales:

Family road trip

Book at the Old Mill Inn & Spa and visit Toronto’s vibrant arts scene.

Stay at the James Hotel and stroll down Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.

Head south to Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale

Romantic getaway for two

Hotel Le Crystal and a carriage ride in Old Montreal’s Place Jacques-Cartier.

The Hotel PUR and a visit to Quebec’s Winterfest at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency

Escape to paradise

The Snow Queen Lodge in Aspen.

The Mountain Inn at Killington, Vermont.

The Ocean Breeze Hotel, Acapulco by Sea Garden in Mexico.
