Part 2 – Top 5 Great Canadian Food Blogs

By / Food / July 8th, 2013 / 2

Here we go again. I had so much fun checking out so many great Canadian food blogs last time, I just had to do it again. I marvel at the breadth and scope that these bloggers offer their readers. Full of useful information written in a down-to-earth manner, the information and recipes presented on these websites are useful and fun. Reading them is often like sharing recipes with a good friend over coffee. So, here’s another list of my top 5 Canadian Blogs. Go visit them, then come back and tell me who your own favourites are.

Kathy’s Kitchen – Here’s an adventurous cook who’s never afraid to look a bowl of scrambled eggs in the eye. I’m especially drawn to her Salted Caramel Panna Cotta.

The Best Thing I Ever Ate … And Then Some – Fun and witty blog offering a fresh take on how to mix and match diverse ingredients successfully, like Grilled Polenta with Chicken, Beans and Avocado

Closet Cooking – The Sun Dried Tomato Hummus had me drooling right from the get-go. This blog chronicles Kevin Lynch’s journey from realizing “boring” meals to “fantastic”.

Suzie the Foodie – I found Suzie’s food discoveries to be particularly engaging. Her cooking experiences are honest and authentic.

Gratinée – Darina’s blog struck a chord with me. She offers readers revealing essays and tempting recipes, like Burek: Balkan Style Cheese Pie, not to mention beautiful photography.

Happy Reading!
