Four Chairs Made for Good Books

By / Food / October 18th, 2013 / 1

I’m a bookworm. There are over 200 books in my library at the moment though I’m pretty sure I have a few hiding under my bed or in boxes I’d forgotten to unpack. So, you know I’m telling the truth when I tell you that a good reading chair is essential… and, once I’ve saved up enough (perhaps by not buying books for a year), I’m going to invest in one of these:

Ektorp – Ikea

$349.00
Create a space all your own with this big, fluffy monster of a chair. It’s big enough to seat two, though you’ll want it all to yourself. Throw your legs over the arms and get cozy with a blanket, a pile of pillows and the first book in a twenty-book series – you’ll never leave.

Ellyson Chair – Crate & Barrel

$1,556
With a depth of 38” and a width of 40”, you know there’s enough room to curl up under a blanket with a few pillows to prop you up. It’s available in five colours (all in the grey family) – Cream puff, Flinstone, Nightcap, Rootbeer and Gunsmoke.

Eames Lounge Chair – Herman Miller

$4,499
This made Quench.me’s WANT list for a reason. The design is perfect for lounging (probably why “lounge” is in the name). It’s a higher end investment that will help you lose yourself in a good book for ever… which could be dangerous. For more information on where to find an Eames chair, visit the Herman Miller site.

Hush Chair – Freyja Sewell

$4,500
Designer Freyja Sewell works with natural and biodegradable materials to create sustainable furniture. This ingenious chair gives you the option to open up and let light in or separate yourself from the world.
