There are a plethora of gift idea lists online nowadays. They range from the ridiculous to the mundane. After scouring the internet for ideas, here are a few gift ideas for home owners that I think rise above the rest.

A Floral Scent

Alternatively, eclectic vases are a unique focal point for any room. Try the Ghost Vase ($73). Sold online by Generate Design, two etched acrylic pieces are connected to a simple glass vase.

Brighten a Room

Standard lighting can be boring. Everyone is looking for some way to introduce a visually stimulating as well as illuminating light source. Birdcage lighting by Roost Home Furnishing’s ($340 – $400) is available online through Houzz.

Decant and Enchant

Everyone thinks that wine lovers already have everything they need for wine. What they don’t usually have are eclectic conversation pieces that they can pull out at parties, like a Crumpled Decanter ($16.50). Created by Josef Flek’s, a Czech Republic glass designer, the twisted neck keeps every drop in the glass. Keeping Time

Find a vinyl record of your recipient’s favourite band in the form of a wall clock; try searching these vinyl record clocks on eBay.  If you’re looking for something more practical rather than decorate, you could true a DIY White Board Clock ($32), available on Etsy.
