Gurvinder Talks Napa
In today’s installement, Tidings writer and Contributing Editor Gurvinder Bhatia sits down with winemaker and General Manager Christophe Paubert of Stags’ Leap Winery in Napa, California. What’s caught Gurvinder’s fascination this time? Stags’ Leap Viognier, retailing for $32. That land has been growing grapes, olives and all manner of other fruits and vegetables since the late 1880s. Stags’ Leap, named after the spot on the edge of a cliff where stags are said to have leapt to their deaths, also sits on volcanic soil which is believed to enrich the plants growing in it.
