Tod Stewart received the Agri-press International award from Italy’s confederation of farmers, Agricoltori Italiani, at their Premio Bandiera Verde CIA awards (Green Flag Awards). Stewart is a long-time Quench contributing editor and writer.

The Agri-press International award recognizes members of the media that promote, discuss and share the story of Italy with their international audiences. Stewart has written several pieces about Italian culture and products. His work has been published in various newspapers and magazines (like Quench). His participation in the Educational Tour Incoming played a major role as well. CIA-Agricoltori Italiani initiative created the Educational Tour Incoming in collaboration with Toronto’s ICE Agency. Through this tour, they promote Italian culture and Made in Italy products.

This year marked the 16th edition of the Premio Bandiera Verde CIA awards. The theme for this year’s awards was multitasking in an environmentally friendly way. “Our Green Flags,” explains Agricoltori Italiani CIA president, Dino Scanavino, “are the concrete testimony of the evolution of Italian agriculture, which grows and renews itself between two fundamental pillars: the defense of environment and landscape and the preservation of biodiversity and rural traditions.”
