Markus Molitor Riesling Kabinett Wehlener Sonnenheur

By / Wine + Drinks / January 7th, 2010 / 2

I had the chance to visit this property a few years back, and their devotion to quality showed in all the wines, from the early ’90s to 2006. Well, 2007 continues the hot streak, and this wine delivers a rather deep straw yellow colour (for a Kabinett) and a huge perfume of peach, pineapple, spice, yeast, and minerals. It is medium-to-full-bodied with loads of zippy lime acidity backing up the moderate sweetness. The aftertaste is long and there is easily 10 to 15 years ahead for this beauty.
