I love the way vanilla makes me feel. I am transported to a place of peace and relaxation whenever I catch the soft, sensual scent of vanilla in the air. It is believed that vanilla is a natural aphrodisiac, capable of setting the mood for a romantic Friday night “in”. Light a fire, a few vanilla-scented candles and snuggle up with your special someone with cocktail in hand.

Ingredients

2 ½ ounces of vodka

¼ tsp of vanilla extract

Or 2 ½ ounces of vanilla-flavoured vodka

½ ounce Grand Marnier

½ ounce simple syrup

Vanilla pods, split lengthways, for garnish

Ice

 

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add vanilla vodka (or vodka & vanilla extract), Grand Marnier and simple syrup.

Shake well and pour into martini glass (cocktail glass).

Add vanilla bean for garnish and an extra punch of vanilla flavour.
