In honour of our neighbours to the south (or should I say, in honor of our neighbors), this week’s Friday Cocktail celebrates red, white and blue – Happy Independence Day!

 

Ingredients

1½ oz. vodka

1 oz. watermelon schnapps

½ oz. cranberry juice

½ oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice

½ oz. simple syrup

¼ oz. blue curacao

Soda water

 

Preparation

Fill a tall glass halfway with ice.

Add watermelon schnapps and cranberry juice.

Carefully add lemon juice, simple syrup, and vodka as to layer the white layer.

Very carefully layer the blue curacao to create the color separation.

Gently top with soda.

Serve with a straw.
