#FridayCocktail – The Royale Treatment

By / Wine + Drinks / May 9th, 2014 / 1

Many of us will be heading out to, or hosting, brunch on Mother’s Day this Sunday. What to drink and serve alongside all those classic brunch dishes may be weighing on the brain. Sure, a nicely chilled white or rosé will do but why not treat Mom, and yourself, to something a little more…royal.

Kir Royale

Ingredients

Chilled champagne (or dry sparkling wine)

Crème de cassis

Fresh or frozen blackberries or raspberries (for garnish)

Preparation

Add ¼ ounce of Créme de cassis to a champagne flute.

Top with chilled champagne.
