#FridayCocktail: The Apple-tini

By / Wine + Drinks / September 18th, 2013 / 1

Although the official start to fall is still a week away, autumn is definitely in the air. What better way to usher in the new season than with an apple based cocktail. With apple season here, finding fresh cider for this version of an apple-tini should be fairly easy. And, as Mother Nature continues to swing erratically between warm and cool, this cocktail can work double-duty as either a comforting cool weather option or a refreshing late summer treat.

Ingredients

2 ounces apple cider

1 ½ ounces of premium vodka

¼ ounce of ginger liqueur

Apple wedge – sliced thinly, for garnish

Ice

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker, combine apple cider, vodka, ginger liqueur and ice.

Shake and strain into a cocktail (martini) glass.

Garnish with an apple wedge.
