Concha y Toro Trio Merlot

By / Wine + Drinks / August 17th, 2010 / Like

Here is a fabulous value out of Chile! Yes, the dominant grape is Merlot, which was sourced from the cool Casablanca area, but as the name denotes, there are two other grapes involved:  Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère. It is a black wine that delivers sexy plum, cocoa, cherry and spice aromas and flavours, with just the right amount of velvety tannins. This is a mandatory case purchase and should drink well over the next 2 to 3 years.
