Cuvée L’Acadie Brut 2011 – Blomidon Estate Winery ($30)

One of five sparkling wines produced by Blomidon Estate Winery in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, the Cuvée L’Acadie is made from, you guessed it, L’Acadie Blanc grapes grown on their ocean-side estate vineyard. The wine is aged for a minimum of 25 months prior to disgorging.

This boutique winery produces 100% Nova Scotia grown grapes and wines, earning themselves numerous national and international awards.

Tasting Note by Sean Wood – Score 91

“Shows persistent fine bead in the glass with soft floral, citrus, apple and leery, lightly honeyed aromas. Tightly focused crisp green apple takes over on the palate with very crisp acidity, stony mineral and light creaminess softening the slightly austere character. Another extraordinarily good Traditional Method fizz showcasing Nova Scotia’s signature white grape.”
