The Campari Calendar, first launched to celebrate the new millennium, has since become a much-anticipated annual release – perhaps more for men than women, but nonetheless, a significant event.

“Each Calendar is unique in its own way and every year the creative theme, the choice of the star and the artistic treatment of the images by the photographer, collectively bring to life the essence of the brand – passionate, charismatic, intriguing and above all extremely contemporary,” reads a press release from the company. “The Calendar is designed to inspire fresh insight into the world of Campari, guiding fans through an evocative journey of pleasure that makes them fall in love with the brand over and over again.”

The images contained within the Calendar feature whimsical, imaginary, and all contained the common elements of a Campari bottle and a beautiful (and a least in the beginning, somewhat naked) woman. Since then, a range of “star attractions,” have been featured, starting with Italian diva Martina Colombari, who was photographed by Giovanni Gastel for the 2006 release.

In years following, the pages were graced by the likes of Salma Hayek, Mila Jovovich, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes and Uma Thurman, with the lone male to date, Benicio Del Toro, appearing in the 2011 edition.

The 2015 Calendar, entitled “Mythology Mixology,” depicts the colourful history and intrinsic stories linked to 12 of the best-loved cocktails that feature the brand as an ingredient, from the classic Negroni invented in 1919, to the contemporary Campari Orange Passion. Oh, and guys…each cocktail is “modeled” by the rather fetching French actress Eva Green, donning a variety of crimson-red garbs.

“We have a very personal connection to this year’s Campari Calendar as it is designed to celebrate the brand itself. The theme, Mixology Mythology, leads Campari fans on an exciting and intriguing journey where we look not only at our history, but also project the brand into the future and together, imagine where our fascinating adventure will lead us next,” says Bob Kunze-‐Concewitz, CEO of Gruppo Campari.

An extremely versatile libation, Campari can act as the “anchor” for a variety of cocktails. Campari + red vermouth + bourbon gives you The Boulevardier. Swap out bourbon for rye, and you get an Old Pal. Exchange the rye for gin, and you have a Negroni.
