WristReaders by Off the Cuff Optics

Reading glasses are … not very stylish, to say the least. Carrying around reading glasses requires a dedicated case and pocket or purse space not everyone has. Which is why Off the Cuff Optics developed WristReaders, a pair of reading glasses you can wear on your wrist (or wrapped around a purse or backpack strap).

I received the orange pair – a nice, vibrant orange that really pops on the wrist. Magnets in the arms of the glasses allow you to fit the glasses to your wrist in three different size options. They are very cute, though a bit amusing at first; small in comparison to standard reading glasses – the arms don’t actually reach your ears, so they perch on your nose, held steady by your temples.

My mom helped me test out the WristReaders. She wore them on her wrist for a full day of shopping, pulling them out to read the menu at lunch and clothing tags in the stores. After a full day, she said the glasses were still comfortable. Her only concern was that they almost slid off when she was putting on and taking off her coat – so if you wear them, just make sure you keep that in mind while you’re getting ready to go outside.

WristReaders are available in amber, aquamarine, graphite, hot pink, key lime and orange; the magnification strengths available are +1.50, +2.00 and +2.50.
