Canadian Signature Fry Pan & Maple Paddle Board by Paderno

It’s time to slow down, de-stress and do something both relaxing and productive … like rediscovering the pleasure of home cooking. Since eating this way is a heck of a lot cheaper than dining out, you’ll have some extra coin to spend on the two most important components: ingredients and cookware.

We’re probably all familiar with the quality of Canadian foodstuffs, but what about Canada’s premier (and only) cookware brand, Paderno? The first Canadian Paderno plant was opened on Prince Edward Island in 1979 where the company continues to manufacture cookware. The plant is part of the cultural and industrial landscape of the island, and today the Paderno brand is recognized worldwide as a leading manufacturer of quality cookware.

What sets Paderno products apart is the exceptional craftsmanship with which they’re made. In fact, when you look at a Paderno item – be it the 32 cm Canadian Signature Fry Pan or the Maple Paddle Board (25.4 x 50.8 cm) – the first thing you’ll notice is that they are gorgeous.

The Fry Pan is oven safe to 260°C, dishwasher safe, and has riveted stay-cool handles. It displaces heat perfectly, making it a joy to use, and the PFOA-free non-stick interior means that food slips off the pan effortlessly and makes clean-up a breeze. These pans are continually improved and evolved to keep up with cooking trends and new technologies. Most recently, a magnetic stainless steel layer was added to the bottom of all Paderno pots and pans, making them safe for all stovetops.

The Paddle Board is perfect not only for food preparation, but is also elegant enough to use as a serving platter. It’s double sided design (grooved on one side) makes it extremely versatile. It’s also naturally antibacterial, eco-friendly, and non-toxic. It’s easily cleaned with soap and water, but be sure to do what I did and treat the board with Paderno Mineral Oil before first use and intermittently to keep it protected and extend its life.

All Paderno products are designed in Canada. The core cookware products are also proudly manufactured in Canada.
