Aged in French oak (20 percent new) for 14 months. Forward stonefruit and vanilla notes with a hint of coconut; peach and tropical hints on the palate with creamy undertones above well managed oak. Think pairings such as scallops and brute Blanc, lobster.
Quintessential Alsace Gewürz. Straw colour with a lime tint, concentrated nose of lychees and rose petals, richly extracted exotic flavours of Turkish Delight. Finishes dry with good length.
An overt Chardonnay which hits 14.5% alcohol. Wall to wall peach, cream, honey, banana, fig, yellow apple, spice and vanilla. The palate is creamy with very good length and some heat creeping in at the end.
A blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache — deep ruby in colour offering a spicy, cedary nose of black fruits with pencil lead and herbal notes; medium-bodied, dry, inky, black raspberry flavour with a firm tannic finish.
This is old-style German wine at its most exuberant. Very pale straw in colour with a green tint, it offers a lovely bouquet of apricot and honey with a mineral note. Flavours of sweet grapefruit and honey dance on the palate. Beautifully balanced with great length. A seamless wine.
Red cherry, strawberry floral and dried herb scents evolve towards rich cherry with chocolate, lightly firm tannins and zesty acidity on the palate. Finishes with well-integrated fruit, oak and a splash of milk chocolate.
Full-bodied, this modern Barolo sees a healthy dash of new oak, coming out on the other side with a perfume of sweet cherry, vanilla, flowers, earth, tar and spice. Long on the finish with lots of polished tannins which bodes well for a great life ahead.
